YOUR GREEK QUEST

You arrive in Ancient Greece, inside the walled city of Thebes, in Boeotia. The Greek mainland is one country and you can walk the length of it — west to Delphi and Aetolia, north through Thessaly to Olympus, Macedon and Thrace, south-east to Athens. Two rivers bound it: the canal at Corinth, which makes an island of the Peloponnese a stone's throw off the mainland — too wide to jump, but you may sail a galley clean through it — and the Ister in the far north, beyond which the land runs on into Illyria and Moesia and is no business of yours. Everything else is across open sea — Euboea, the Cyclades, Lesbos, Chios, Rhodes and Crete. Beg the Archon for a quest and he'll send you out to hunt monsters of legend — harpies, cyclopes, gorgons, a minotaur, Medusa, Cerberus and the Titan. Recover the fabled Sunstone, hidden in a different place each game, and return to the Archon to be rewarded for saving Greece.
